MICROFIBER CLOTHS!

Microfiber cloths - the type you use to wax a car - are great for many cleaning needs and are an excellent time saver. Here are some uses:

• Spot cleaning walls - Use MF cloth with your all-purpose cleaner to gently scrub away food splatter and dirty finger prints on walls
• Cleaning your refrigerator exterior - Use with your all-purpose cleaner to spot clean your fridge doors and handle. This is especially good on those white textured fridges.
• Dusting - this is great for dusting sensitive surfaces. Dust clings to it and it won't scratch!
• Wiping down dirty windowsills and baseboards. When the dirt won't "dust off", use your all-purpose cleaner with a MF cloth to gently wipe surface clean.

Using Your Cleaning Time Efficiently

Minimize the time you spend cleaning by being efficient. Here are my top tips:

• Have a cleaning caddy: This holds most of your cleaning products, so you don't spend time running around getting what you need.
• Wear an apron: Have what you need close at hand when you're not using the caddy. This will hold your plastic scrapper, toothbrush, duster, and dusting cloth and is also a convenient place to stick debris rather than running to the trash each time.
• Work top to bottom: When you walk into the room you are going to clean, pick up your extension duster and get all the overhead cobwebs first. Then move around the room in sections dusting/ cleaning from top to bottom. Don't forget to dust the chandelier above your kitchen table before cleaning the table!
• Have a plan: Whether you are doing the whole house or just a bathroom, have a plan of attack. A routine you are familiar with will increase your speed. ie First do the bathrooms, then the kitchen, then dusting, then vacuuming, then mopping. In the bathroom do the shower, then toilet, then counters and sink.
• Invest in a good vacuum: A vacuum with poor suction makes your vacuuming time nearly twice as long! If you struggle with your vacuum, do your research and get a new one!

How to use only 4 products to clean your home!

You only need 4 products for basic cleaning of your home!

• Red Juice - or another all purpose earth-friendly cleaner. Use this for most surfaces: counters, shower walls, wall spots, faucets, table tops, spot cleaning. Red juice is odor free and available by order from the clean team (http://www.thecleanteam.com/).
• Citra Solv - use for anything greasy: stovetops, microwaves.
• Vinegar and Water - mix 5 parts water to one part vinegar. Use this for mirrors, windows, glass tables and mopping. Vinegar is great for hardwood floors and to get rid of pet odors.
• Bon Ami - a powdered cleaner. Use this for bathtubs, sink bowls, toilet bowls and hard to get off stains on counters.
